A semi-urban sandy beach with a seafront promenade and a children's play area. Almost 2 km long, the beach is well known for surfing and bodyboarding thanks to its powerful waves. It has all facilities: beach bars, a lifeguard post, showers and bins.
Near the beach there is a dune system, the Doniños lagoon — of great ornithological value as a resting place for migratory birds — a large pine forest, and the Lobadiz hillfort.
The remains of an 18th-century coastal artillery battery that formed part of a defensive complex can also be seen.
